I enjoy working here with the friendly and supportive team. It’s a great environment and we all look after each other, for example ensuring everyone gets meal breaks when we’re really busy. If you’re new everybody makes you feel welcome and part of the family. Some of the girls have a craft group where they get together on weekends and we enjoy each other’s company at social functions. One of the best benefits is the salary packaging - it’s such a great bonus so I’d recommend it to anyone. I like to see my expensive winter electricity bills paid in full out of tax-free dollars!

Calvary John James is a nice pleasant place to work and has a great team atmosphere. Having a young family I just love the flexible working hours, though I am always happy to pitch in for the team when needed.

With 1200 births on average a year we are a busy unit, but it means there are plenty of opportunities to use our skills to the full, for example in the recently renovated 34-week special care nursery. I love the autonomy I’m given here, yet I know that whenever I need it I have the support of a highly skilled team – all the staff and doctors are extremely knowledgeable. The hospital also provide lots of little benefits that make a difference, such as the subsidised Christmas Party, weekly fresh fruit bowls and regular free staff lunches.

I joined CJJH only a few months ago and have found it to be an extremely friendly place where everyone knows each other on a first name basis. While based in the Rehabilitation Unit I had the opportunity to work in a number of different wards, ICU and theatre, which has been fantastic. The flexible hours and shifts are really family friendly and the pay is certainly comparable to other health care facilities. Salary packaging is also a great bonus. It’s a great team and a great environment…I just love it!
